There's a star in the sky!
There's a mother's deep prayer
and a baby's low cry!
And the star rains its fire
while the beautiful sing,
for the manger of Bethlehem
cradles a King!
There's a tumult of joy
o'er the wonderful birth,
for the virgin's sweet boy
is the Lord of the earth.
Ay! the star rains its fire
while the beautiful sing,
for the manger of Bethlehem
Cradles a king! - Josiah Holland
There’s something about the feeling of Christmas that brings
hope and joy. Is it the lights, gifts, even the music? Not really. Those things
are simply the symptoms of the reality that within the human heart lies
eternity-something beyond this earthly veil of sorrow. We were never made to
live in brokenness and sorrow. But sins entrance into our world changed what
was a perfect reality. Within we know there must be something better. Christmas
gives us a glimpse. A solution to the yearning for eternity’s perfection. Hope
for a solution to the brokenness we feel. That solution, that hope is none
other than the Baby who lies in the manger of Bethlehem, Jesus. Find hope in
Him today!
